The mistaken-identity farce looks at impending death and the nature of identity. Shakespeare famously ups the ante by offering us two sets of permanently confused twins. Antipholus of Ephesus and Antipholus of Syracuse, and their twin-brother servants, Dromio of Ephesus and Dromio of Syracuse embark series of wild mishaps, including wrongful beatings, a near-seduction, the arrest of one of them, and false accusations of infidelity, theft, madness, and demonic possession.
